Terms and conditions of leasing a car for travelling abroad:
Within the territory of the European Union, a daily limit of 300 km / day applies. Any additional distance is charged at 20 HUF / km.
We provide technical assistance within a distance of 700 km from Budapest. Beyond this distance, special terms apply about which we can provide you more information.
Our services are available also for foreign nationals living in Hungary provided they have valid personal identification documents. Please indicate if you require a special roof rack in case you are travelling to ski.
It is mandatory to declare your destination country before leasing our vehicles.
We reserve the right to apply a higher deposit amount for clients who are not citizens of any member states of the European Union.
Leasing a car for travelling abroad for no more than 5 passengers:
Cars with petrol engine are recommended as vehicles with diesel engines break down more often.
Smaller cars for travelling abroad are all equipped with petrol engine.
Bigger vehicles (for 7 or 9 persons) come with a diesel engine.
Renting a smaller car for travelling abroad is not recommended since these are less sturdy and can be damaged more easily.
Leasing minivans or micro buses for travelling abroad.
We provide the easiest solution when it comes to renting a minivan for travelling abroad as it can be delivered or returned at your place of residence.
Microbuses have all diesel engines as it’s a more efficient and economical solution than a petrol engine.
A common mistake is to purchase a highway sticker intended for cars when in fact you are driving a microbus. Such a mistake is punishable with a fine of 200€.
In the case of parking offences or exceeding the speed limit, parking and traffic tickets are posted to Hungary from abroad. This facilitates authorities in identifying who drove the vehicle when traffic laws were violated. According to the rental contract, all fines are to be paid by the party renting the car.
Minivans for 7 or 9 persons can also be leased for travelling abroad. Please take into consideration that with 7 seats, there is less room for luggage.
Traffic violations:
Traffic laws including speed limits, paying parking fees and using highway stickers must be respected. Fines are to be paid by the party renting the vehicle. Fines to be paid on the spot are often 20 times higher than they would be otherwise. Please respect the regulations.
In the case of long legal proceedings, an interest must also be paid.
Before travelling abroad, please fill the tank before departing.
